Hello, I'm Glenn, welcome to my gardens. My desire has been to blur the distinction between nature and garden in a woodland setting. Glenn's Gardens began in 2018 with the purchase of a home on a five-acre site a few miles outside Washington D.C. The first year was spent removing weeds and previously planted non-native invasives and now over two acres have been cultivated with diverse species from the Piedmont ecoregion, including large areas of naturally occurring native plants.
Without fertilizer or irrigation, stewardship of the gardens is largely left to nature which produces a dynamically changing experience each season and each year.
Glenn is a dynamic and enthusiastic presenter available to speak to your garden club, group, or gardening related association. Specialized content includes Mid-Atlantic native plants, shade to part-sun gardening, and low-maintenance gardening strategies.
Based upon practical experience, Glenn's presentations are designed to provide inspirational insights as well as convey useful, actionable information for gardeners with varying garden conditions and abilities.
